BlackVeil the girl from the Pavilion:The girl from the pavilion in 4.20 reminds me of Bethany’s drawings. Marlene did say we’ve seen BlackVeil without her costume. Is the Pavilion girl her?
The Secrets of Radley
Radley Sanitarium was first seen in Season 2 Halloween Special titled ‘The First Secret.” It was this episode that we are shown a vehicle outside of a home that no one has lived in for quite some time. Apparently, the person that was watching the girls from inside the house was either a patient, worker, or neither of Radley Sanitarium. The producers of the show thought it would be very informational to add this scene to this particular episode therefore, there’s some significant reason behind this introduction of the sanitarium. In this episode we also learn that Toby Cavanaugh’s mother has been dead for a year, being that they were in October of 2008.
Marion Cavanaugh was introduced in the premiere episode of Season 4 titled “A is for A-L-I-V-E.” We believe the year is somewhere between 2006-2007 considering she died in 2007. Marion is going through some sort of depression/illness that was never explained. Toby was either 13 or 14 because he is a year older than the liars, meaning Alison was either 12 or 13 during this time period.and is either in 7th or 8th grade. considering the year is 2006 or 2007. I would suspect they were in year 2006 since Marion died in 2007, but it would all depend on how long Marion was a patient at Radley. Now Marion’s illness had become worse & she was
admitted to Radley Sanitarium. Her treating doctor was Dr. Palmer.
Dr. Palmer was introduced in 4.04 ‘Facetime,’ he’s an elderly fellow with a British accent. He treated Marion during her time at Radley and warned her to stay away from a blonde girl, whom he claimed to be “very troubling.”
Episode 4.10, Jessica DiLaurentis tells the girls of a time where CeCe Drake dressed as Alison and tried to check herself into the sanitarium. Evidently, Jessica spoke with Dr. Palmer the same day CeCe pulled the prank and Jessica told Ali “even the doctor I spoke to agreed that this friendship is toxic.” She goes on to say that there was something wrong with their friendship. Meaning it’s still very possible for CeCe to be the one that Dr. Palmer was referring to as the “blonde girl.”
In later episode of Season 4, we discover that Jessica DiLaurentis is on the Board of Trustees at Radley, and has been for some time. We also, learn there was another patient at the sanitarium by the name of Bethany Young (5.05) that was a patient during this time period as well.
Bethany Young, was a 17 yr old patient who was from Bryn Mawr, a town ten miles from Rosewood. She was a highly troubled teen “who suffered from severe behavioral episodes.that may have been violent.” She was also an artist, who drew several portraits mostly of Jessica DiLaurentis.
It’s unknown how long she was a patient at Radley but she knew about Marion Cavanaugh’s fall from the rooftop and drew a portrait of this. In the drawing which will be shown in next week’s episode titled “The Silence of the E.Lamb.” The drawing is a depiction of Marion falling from the rooftop of Radley Sanitarium and there’s a cloud of black smoke, which goes along with what Dr. Palmer told Toby in 4.04 about the air being “too heavy.”
The heaviness of air is what Dr. Palmer called it when describing Marion’s death. What could cause the air to get so heavy to the point where someone needs to run to the roof? Peter told Spencer in 4.15, that Marion was on the roof with another patient which is why Radley covered the truth to protect the “fragile patient.” Notice the patient wasn’t mentioned in the file.
Full theory in the 5.06 magazine:
I’m calling Sydney as Ali’s attacker in last week’s episode. She is apart of the Mona’s Army and we don’t know her vendetta against Ali. Also, she was in the restroom the entire time, listening to the girls conversation.
Jessica’s Demon - CeCe Drake
'Everything I did yesterday was undone by an angry raccoon, or whatever is living underneath that porch.”
In 4.02 Jessica DiLaurentis says this line to Hanna Marin and goes to ask her about the Iceberg roses. Someone is watching them from inside the house and we later discover in 4.09 that Redcoat is the one that’s been living underneath the house. Therefore, it’s safe to assume she is the one that was watching Jessica and Hanna from inside the house.
In 4.11 Aria and Emily find a button.
Later that evening we are shown CeCe Drake in Ezra’s Ravenswood apartment, talking to someone and telling them that she will not go back to Rosewood. The camera then pans to her redcoat that lays in a chair.
The coat is also missing a button in the same place that Spencer later sees on the coat that is found in the hay stack on the back of the truck. So CeCe Drake was the one seen going underneath the DiLaurentis house and the reason she was standing outside of Ezra’s apartment in a black hoodie is because she had lost her redcoat in the haystack. Notice she is dressed in Redcoat’s attire, the chunky heels and black jeans …
But she is also, A-Team due to the black hoodie. I believe she has been playing both sides all along, helping Mona as well as Ali, who are obviously against each other. But Ali has no idea her good friend is against her.
So now we get to the picture from 5.06. of Mrs. DiLaurentis and the Demon. It reminded me so much of CeCe which is why I went through the earlier first. Jessica DiLaurentis never liked CeCe and Ali’s relationship. She even told Ali when she was about 13 years old, that CeCe wasn’t welcomed in her house.
CeCe had visited Radley during this time dressed as Alison, convincing the doctors there that she was Jessica DiLaurentis daughter. During her visit to Radley she met Dr. Palmer because, according to Jessica she wanted to be admitted there. CeCe pretended to be Ali while doing this and remember this was during the time that Toby’s mother Marion Cavanaugh was in Radley. I presumed she also met Bethany Young as she made her visits.
Jessica warned her daughter that CeCe Drake was toxic and even Jason got into CeCe’s grill in the web series, Pretty Dirty Secrets. He mentioned that “Ali was just a child playing childhood games until you came along and took it to another level.”
It seems that all of the evidence points to CeCe as being the one that Dr. Palmer warned Marion about and he didn’t mention if the blonde girl was a patient or not, therefore, it’s possible she was the girl that was visiting Marion. Bethany knew this girl was evil which is why she portrayed her in the photos as a demon. When looking at her drawings you would assume the demon represents Alison, but what if the demon represented the evil that surrounded Jessica’s daughter, Alison. Which would be CeCe Drake.
Another thing, in the Season 4 finale, CeCe Drake makes a deal with Holbrook. It doesn’t seem like she did but pay attention to the conversation. “If you’re looking to make a deal, I’m not sure what you have to bargain with.” It was at this moment that CeCe spilled on the Hastings family, which is why we later see Holbrook talking to the Hastings family in separate rooms. CeCe informed Holbrook about Spencer and Ali’s fight that night. Which is very weird because CeCe told Ezra, for his book research that she saw Ali and Spencer arguing that night when she stopped by to see Ali.
But in season 3 episode 20 she tell Emily that “Ali called her freaking out over some videos, everyone wanted them. Spencer’s big sister more than anyone. When I showed up she begged me to talk to Ali so I did.” If what CeCe told Emily in season 3 was the truth (as this one matches perfectly with the sequence of that night), then what she told Ezra for his book was a lie and she didn’t witness a fight at all.
Unless, she was watching Ali the whole time that night. If that is the case, then it’s very likely CeCe could have been the one to hit Ali with the rock, blackmailed Jessica into burying her own daughter, all for the sake of revenge because Ali got her kicked out of UPENN. But how does Bethany play into all of this? CeCe watched Mrs. D bury Ali, but Grunwald pulled her out of the grave, thus saving her. Mona saw Ali that night and took her to lost woods resort. Mona had Ali’s clothing, yellow top and bracelet.
Therefore, the person that was buried in the site couldn’t have been buried that same night because Ali was still wearing her bracelet and if I recall correctly, Jason told the liars in ‘Please Do Talk About Me when I’m Gone’ that the cops found the bracelet on Ali’s body, when it was discovered in the pilot episode. Also, in the 4.24 Ali flashback, we see Alison getting ready to leave in her Vivian Darkbloom wear and the bracelet is on the dresser. Meaning the girl that was murdered had to have been placed into the grave site the next day, not on the same night.
Skipping ahead: Ali contacted CeCe during her 2 years of hiding and CeCe was shocked that she was alive, Ali told her of how Mona helped her to runaway that night. This could explain why CeCe was desperate to see Mona when she was in Radley, she wanted to be her mentor. Mona’s memory of the conversation she had with CeCe was cloudy due to her medication and I am 100% positive that was Wren’s doing. CeCe wanted to work with Mona to get back at the liars too for that night at the Frat Party. CeCe, whom Mona described as “THE DEVIL” which is very similar to Bethany’s drawings of a person that was haunting Mrs. D, showed Mona a way in and out of Radley. CeCe was visiting Radley when Marion was patient, so I’m pretty sure she found little hide-outs to sneak into the place without security knowing.
So speeding forward to the night that Jessica DiLaurentis was murdered, if the timing is right I want to say that CeCe is the likely candidate. Here’s why, Jessica knew that the person that was in Ali’s grave wasn’t Ali, she was trying to protect Ali from someone. Who would Jessica want to protect her daughter from more than anyone? The one person she despised the most …
CeCe Drake. When Holbrook notified Jessica about Ali being alive, another officer was bringing CeCe out to be transferred and that person wasn’t Officer Barry Maple as Holbrook later tell the Hastings when he visits their home in 5.01. Which means, Holbrook could have considered the deal that CeCe made with him (this was stated earier in the post). He could have went back to the Hastings house hoping they could give more information in a private setting but Melissa was stopped by her father. If CeCe was being transferred the same night and Jessica DiLaurentis went home late that night. CeCe broke free from the officer and went straight to the DiLaurentis house, because Jessica was the only known person that knew of her being the one that hit Ali that night and she was pissed at Jessica because she assumed Jessica was the one who turned her in to the cops.
But it wasn’t Jessica that turned her in, it was Mona Vanderwaal. She was the one who followed CeCe from the DiLaurentis home the night of the Bridal Show. She followed CeCe to the hotel and called the cops.
Therefore, CeCe murdered Jessica the same night that Ezra was shot which was a Friday, and drove to New York pretending nothing happened. She got there the same day that Shana was killed. This was the perfect act because she has Ali’s trust and Ali have no idea that CeCe is the one doing this to her. Ali gave her her Vivian Darkbloom identity to leave the country that night, which means she got away with murder and can continue to torture Ali.
Q:So interesting how Ali admitted to visiting hanna in the hospital and Emily at the barn, but never admitted seeing Spencer at radley. I think that scene is underrated as of now, but will play a huge clue and storyline because Alison snuck into radley and her involvement. Also, she never admitted to visiting aria either, in which she said "you know why I picked you right?"
You bringing this up reminds me of the file we posted from Ezra’s research when he was writing the book. I have reason to believe that Spencer and Aria are the two that Ali couldn’t trust. This goes hand and hand with the police investigation board as well because there’s a post on it that says Aria would do anything for Spencer. Also, in the report the PI was following Aria and Spencer. And you mentioning this blends so well those small but big details!!
Thanks for sharing :)

The Article Reads:
The body of teenager Bethany Young was identified earlier this week after a court order was found to exhume the grave site of Alison DiLaurentis, the Rosewood teen who was thought to have been murdered over two years ago. Bethany Young was from Bryn Mawr, a town only ten miles from Rosewood. This revelation opens yet another chapter in the labyrinthine mystery that has been plaguing this small community for years. While the DiLaurentis family can now close the door on this horrendous nightmare that has left the family in tatters, another family must finally come to terms with the fact that their daughter will never return.
Among the myriad question that have arisen in the wake of the Alison DiLaurentis return, none have been more intriguing and immediately pressing than those revolving around the identity of who was buried in her grave. After Detective Holbrook of Rosewood Police Department received a court order to exhume the grave, even against the wishes of an adamant Jessica DiLaurentis, authorities were quick to get to work, leaving little doubt that the scintillating mystery revolving around Alison DiLaurentis’ disappearance is decidedly deeper and more seeded than anyone could have thought.
The discovery of Bethany Young’s body brings up far more questions than it answers. While details are scarce on Bethany Young, we know that she was a highly troubled teenager who likely suffered from severe behavioral episodes that may have been violent.
Is that Alison?
